VMWare clock is too fast

I just installed vmware on a XP Host and created a tinyXP guest. I encountered a problem with the clock speed. The guest was running like 4 times faster than it should. I read here and there on the web trying out multiple solutions but without success. Until I found the trick which is damn simple… Reboot the computer and voilà! Problem solved.
